***PLEASE NOTE***
We have become aware of some suboptimal quality issues with excess feedback, echo and latency. As a result the app has been made free and will continue to be free until we have implemented a suitable fix. Many thanks for your patience with this.

Speech Amplifier uses the iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to amplify quiet voices for people with speech difficulties, or amplify volume for professional voice users, e.g. teachers, lecturers, people giving presentations. It has been developed by two speech and language therapists, both with 10 years experience working with adults with communication and swallowing disorders in the UK.

Use is not possible through Bluetooth so this is not appropriate for people who need to be wire free. Users can use a lapel microphone with an additional audio output (like Griffin SmartTalk Headphone Adapter, Mic & Control) and attach any external speaker to this system using a 3.5mm jack. For further details on this please contact us.

If you have a communication disability and you think Speech Amplifier may be useful for you, we would recommend that you discuss this with your speech pathologist/therapist.

If you have any queries or feedback we’d love to hear from you and you can contact us via email ([email protected]), or check
